How to paint a child's portrait alla prima.

In this video tutorial I am going to show how to work on a portrait using Alla prima technique. The entire process took me 2,5 hours. I will use oil paints, primed canvas (9x12"), bristle brush and no medium at all. I stained my canvas with acrylic paint and let it dry for about 2 hours before applying oils.​

You can paint this portrait as long as you prefer though I would highly suggest you to work more on faster paintings to get more experience in color mixing and judging tonal values.

For this portrait I am using Van Gogh oil paints but you can use any brand you like. I wish you good luck with you painting!
