In this 4 hours video tutorial (download) Sergey Gusev demostrates how to make a master copy after a famous french painter of the 19th century William-Adolphe Bouguereau.This lesson is a step by step tutorial devided into 11 parts:
underdrawing,
underpainting,
eyes,
nose,
lips,
ear,
chin, cheeks,
forehead,
neck,
hair,
background, clothes.
The lesson is devided into 11 parts each of them is devoted to only one detail (area) to make this video more structured. The artist starts from an underdrawing and underpainting made in a classical way and then starts working from one detail of the face to another. Once it's finished the artist doesn't go back to it.
This approach was chosen on purpose in order to spend more time on each detail without confusing beginners with a very complicated teachnique as painting from the big spots and color (and tonal) relationships.
